There is an array of 273 phase-detection autofocus points on the sensor, which cover 90% of the image area vertically and horizontally. This provides a fast and accurate focus for both photos and video, and the wide coverage area will allow subject tracking to work right out to the edges of the frame. For video, there's Hybrid AF, which automatically switches between phase and contrast detection systems to ensure smooth focus during shooting. In addition, the latest NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for quiet operation.
Vibration reduction with a 5-axis sensor shift in the body compensates for up to 5 times of camera shake regardless of the Z-type lens used. This system also works with modified F-mount lenses, when using the optional FTZ adapter, where 3-axis stabilization is used.
